Culvert Installation in Central Texas

Driveway culverts, ranch road crossings, and drainage — correctly sized, properly bedded, and built to handle Central Texas rain.

An Undersized Culvert Will Cost You a Driveway

Too-small or collapsed culverts back up water, wash out driveways, and turn ranch roads into ruts. Our culvert installation service starts with sizing the pipe to actual flow — not just what looks right — so your driveway and access roads keep working when it rains.

Culverts Sized to the Water, Not the Guess

We size every culvert based on drainage area, slope, and how water actually moves across your land. Then we bed, backfill, and compact the trench so the pipe stays put — no settling, no washouts, no repeat visits.

FAQ

Culvert Installation FAQ

Common questions about culvert installation, sizing, and replacement in Central Texas.

How much does culvert installation cost?+

Culvert installation cost depends on the pipe size and length, the material (corrugated metal, HDPE, or concrete), the depth and headwall requirements, and how much dirt work is needed on either side. A short residential driveway culvert is a very different scope than a long ranch road crossing. We give free on-site quotes so the number reflects your actual site.

What size culvert do I need for my driveway?+

Correctly sizing a driveway culvert comes down to how much water it has to move during a heavy rain — not what looks right. Undersized culverts back up water and wash out driveways. We look at drainage area, slope, and existing flow patterns, and size the culvert (typically 12" to 36" or larger) to handle real Central Texas storms.

What kind of culvert pipe is best?+

For most driveway and ranch road culverts in Central Texas we use corrugated metal or heavy-wall HDPE plastic, both of which handle Texas soils and weather well. Larger crossings sometimes call for concrete. We pick the material for the load and lifespan, not what's cheapest that day.

Do I need a permit to install a culvert?+

Culvert permits depend on where the driveway ties in. Culverts connecting to a county road or state right-of-way usually require a permit from the county or TxDOT; culverts entirely on private drives typically don't. We can point you to the right office and, when needed, coordinate with the county on placement and pipe size.

Can you replace a collapsed or undersized culvert?+

Yes. Culvert replacement is one of our most common jobs — a driveway culvert that's crushed, rusted through, or too small to handle the runoff. We remove the old pipe, rebuild the crossing with a correctly sized culvert, backfill and compact the trench, and restore the driveway surface.

Great Company! We had several projects from shredding to brush/tree clearing. They really listened to what “our” needs were and bid accordingly… not just on what they wanted to do. They were honest, responsive, careful,…
